This is amazing! Thanks for continuing this project, I was really sad to see it be cancelled :(

I just have one request, would it be possible to have a "Lives" mode over the Coins? I feel like since its replicating a 4:3 genesis (or saturn) game it would make more sense to have lives. A toggle would be nice! Also, maybe a genesis timer toggle? (The one that goes 1:00 instead of 1'00'00)

Regardless, amazing job so far and I can't wait for future updates!

I just came across this project through a YT short and just finished the demo. I really found it quite fun to spend time with. I really loved that they used concepts from Sonic 1, 2, and 3. Keep up the great work!

Sorry if it is a dumb problem, but I can't enter the game. I get this message:
"Cannot load SDLJoy.mfx. This object might need an external program or library not yet installed."
I mean, I haven't encountered this problem before, so I'm asking.

Sonic Hoshi DX is a 2D fan game Created by Cyber (@sonichoshidx ) and Miku (@YumekoSonic ) that aims to complete Sonic Hoshi by Glace Sue/NicoSwitch

==THE STORY==
After collecting the seven Chaos Emeralds and defeating the Death Egg, Sonic and his new friend, Tails, are attacked by a familiar foe, Metal Sonic! Metal knocks the seven emeralds out of Sonic, striking down Sonic’s Bi-Plane, the Tornado, as the duo crash land on the unfamiliar Starshine Island. Upon arrival, Sonic and Tails notice that their surroundings have been trampled by Badniks, while the nefarious Dr. Robotnik appears to be multiple steps ahead. Robotnik has begun the investigation of the island's mysterious ruins, A temple containing a powerful entity known as the Celestial Star. Rumor has it this star can rival the power of the Chaos Emeralds when fully powered, but it’s a race to see who can power and retrieve the Celestial Star first!

This game is designed for PC only, and currently has 2 separate playable characters, Sonic and Tails. with more to come in the SAGE Expo ;)
