Story:
As a last ditch effort, Dr. Robotnik uses the Phantom Ruby on Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Mighty, Ray, and Amy to send them to an alternate universe.
Playable Characters:
Sonic the Hedgehog - The blue blue himself! He's the fastest character.
Miles "Tails" Prower - Sonic's best bud! He can fly, but he's not as fast as Sonic.
Knuckles the Echidna - The last Echidna on Mobius. He can climb walls and glide, but he's the slowest out of the six.
Mighty the Armadillo - One of Sonic's oldest friends. His shell can protect him from spikes. He can also stomp down onto the ground. He's as fast as Tails.
Ray the Flying Squirrel - Mighty's best pal! He can glide through levels easily. He's a bit slower than Mighty.
Amy Rose - Sonic's number 1 fan! She can use her hammer to double jump. She's as fast as Tails, too.
Other Characters:
Emperor Eggman - The ruler of this alternate Mobius. After the Alternate Sonic died in the race against Alternate Metal Sonic, nobody could stop him from ruling the world.
Fang the Bounty Hunter - an alternate version of Fang that works with Eggman to get rid of intruders.
Electro Metal Sonic / Metal Sonic 2.0 - An upgraded version of the alternate Metal Sonic that defeated alternate Sonic. Instead of being powered by fuel or animals, he's powered by Electricity.
Metal Knuckles - A robotized version of the Alternate Knuckles.
