By far, the greatest reimagining I've seen of TRTF4 so far, and the fact that you just went ahead and ignored what everyone else is doing (that is, remaking the first three installments and completly ignoring the fourth one) makes this much more of an accomplishment. This truly deserves a lot more recognition, and I sincerely hope this game gets it!
This game is easy
Right so time for My basic review, where I cover the main content of the game (if I ever find any secrets I'll make a second review)
Note: I have only played through the main game and will talk about some spoilers, if You see another warning tag and don't want to be spoil, simply stop reading
Let's start with the presentation
The presentation of the game is gorgeous for the most part, enhancing the original experience and giving an aura that resonates with paranoia. Granted the game as quite dark in the previous version, which lead Me to have some issues. But even then, that's been fixed
The Animatronics that aren't Freddy and Bonnie (because They're from FNaF+) are stunning, with nice little details to give the feeling of an old rustic run down machine that hadn't perform since the 80s and 90s, showing how long They've been neglected (which is probably 26 years if We follow the OG Timeline?). They also capture the aesthetic of FNaF+ perfectly, which adds more to the constant feeling of paranoia
Now for the gameplay
The gameplay and setup for the game is an interesting one, the entirety of the game takes place in one singular night, with every hour increasing it's difficulty and adding a new character or mechanic. So I will be breaking down the gameplay into the categories mentioned
12 AM:
12 AM is the basic tutorial for the CCTV System of the game and is also the basic tour of our map layout
1 AM:
1 AM is when We were introduced to some interesting things, robbers have begun to break into the Restaurant and You must scare Them off with the Alarms in order for Them leave and can I just say how cool that is as an introduction to the Alarm mechanic? It's a creative way to teach the player on how to use the Alarm. This hour is also our first introduction to our first enemy of the night, Lockjaw, which coincidentally, also needs to be lured away via the Alarm
2 AM:
2 AM seemingly start out as a standard night when suddenly Bonnie comes into the picture, meaning You'll have to also lure Him via the Alarm... at least that was how it went before the entire Facility's power died on You. With no luring Alarm to save You, there's only one way out of this situation... You hide in a locker. This is a minor introduction about the locker mechanic for the game but it doesn't take a starring role until the next hour...
3 AM:
3 AM starts with You in the locker and eventually leaving it, soon the power turns back on with a minor twist... Your now under the mercy of a Generator and the Alarms are busted. With this in mind, You must keep an eye on Bonnie and Lockjaw through the CCTV and wait for Them to enter Your office before You have to eventually hide in the locker. Now at first this seems pretty easy, just watch the camera closest to Your office and You should be golden right? Well suddenly, Your Generator is going haywire and You don't know what to do. At this moment in time, Freddy Fazbear has tampered with Your Generator and You have to find Him through the cameras and stare at Him until He leaves...
4 AM:
4 AM starts out as seemingly a harder 3 AM, however 3 new enemies are revealed at this moment. Kitty Fazcat had been behind a curtain that I'll nickname Kitty Corner. Kitty will slowly peak out the curtain Foxy style and will eventually run out into the office, simply hide inside the locker and You should be fine. Then Sally and Kolly come in, simply hide when You hear Them coming
5 AM:
5 AM is the final hour, the game's enemies have gotten significantly more difficult and now the facility's gas pipes have burst, distracting You and making You needing to listen for the footsteps much more carefully then before. Soon enough the night ends with a final twist that We will talk about now...
WARNING: SPOILERS!
The Plot:
While I haven't found any notable secrets yet, it seems that the plot revolves around a Former Employee of Fazbear's. Who seemingly decided to take the job at Fazbear's Fantasy Land, an attraction based on the once popular Pizzeria Chain. Once You took the job, a group of robbers began to break in so You scare Them off, eventually finding out that the Animatronics in the building have gone haywire. Soon chaos ensues as the Power shuts down, losing Your Alarm system and having Your locker being the only thing left to help You. By the end, Golden Lockjaw comes in and it's implied that You died, Your body hidden away and Your now considered missing
Overall Summary:
Overall, this game is really well done and is impressive for being a game made within a month. I recommend that You all play it if You enjoy a Fangame that has some level of difficulty
