ngl this game is pretty fun, you sure made this game really enjoyable

really great game shiiv! love tower defense :)

Desolate Hope fan game? Sign me up!

I always thought a tower defence-type game would be very fitting for The Desolate Hope with how chaotic it can get and wasn't disappointed!

This was a fun game to play with the different types of defences you can have to form your own strategy and keep the game engaging with the addition of Sawspin and Robochnid not being affected by them, having to attack them yourself. The music is excellent and isn't too repetitive or distracting, which is always nice. The detail of seeing Puppeton in the background before he fully appears in a wave is really neat and a good indicator to get ready when you notice it. The challenges are also fun, and I enjoyed playing with Ironman and Martyr mode, as well as messing around with the cheats.

It took me a while to figure out that the counter above the data core's health is the scraps' currency, but that's more a me issue, lol. While playing, though, I rarely used the jump button and didn't think it was that useful when you can just aim towards the flying enemies, but that could also just be a me thing, while somebody else could think otherwise. Would've been nice to have some way to rewatch the beginning cutscene without having to restart the whole game, unless there is a way.

I did encounter some bugs, like the Datacore.mod letting you heal past the 100 health limit even though you didn't buy the reinforce.sys health increase. The Robochnids sometimes didn't register me damaging it when I shot at it. Around Wave 42, a Robochnid on the far-left side didn't register me damaging it at all, though it could have just had a lot of health, but it didn't show a health bar. When I was messing around with all cheats and challenges around wave 250, I accidentally pushed Manic Tank onto the opposite side, and it kept moving forward, soft-locking my game because he was the last enemy I needed to kill and didn't die. I don't know if this is an issue in normal gameplay, but having them be killed when they go off-screen, similar to Robochnid, would be helpful just in case it does happen, and you don't get soft-locked. (Though you could shoot it before it reaches off-screen, it still would be nice to have.)

Overall, a pretty decent and fun game with very few bugs. Good job, and I hope to see more games in the future!

I was able to get a score of 134,290 and reach wave 89.

THE DESOLATE CHAMBER

  • The Desolate Chamber is a short fangame based on The Desolate Hope (2012/2014) made by the creator of the infamous Five Nights at Freddy's (2014), Scott Cawthon.

  • The game loosely takes place after the events of The Desolate Hope. It seems like the simulations have awoken from their slumber and seeped into reality, craving more power from destroying Data Cores of the Derelicts. Coffee returns, having only one job to do: Protect the Data Cores. In this game, Puppeton leads the charge and summons waves against the defunct and defenseless Bio-Beta to get what's his.

  • The Desolate Chamber is a small RPG tower defense game, where you have to defend the Data Core from incoming threats with Defenses and Defense Upgrades. The game features 6 Defenses, 31 total Upgrades, 8 Enemies and 1 tough Boss to go up against!
