Tutorial Mania (Thesis Project)
This game is for my final thesis project! I am trying to answer the question:
"How can a tutorial affect a new player experience and player engagement"
I hope you enjoy playing the game where you will be placed into three different level scenarios. Each level has three different tutorials on it and one will be selected on random when you click play.
Participation information:
Participants taking part in this study will be asked to complete three levels of a video game to test and provide feedback on different variations of delivering a tutorial. The participant will be required to download and playthrough the three levels developed and once completed they will be pointed to a survey that is linked on the games download screen.
The survey will ask questions about the game, the mechanics and the overall user experience. There are also some questions present that request the players preferences and some background information of the participants experience with video games.
The levels themselves feature aspects such as flashing lights, horror elements and combat so if you are affected by any of these aspects you should abstain from participating. Before the survey you will be asked to tick a box meaning you have read this leaflet and are providing consent for the answers recorded to be used in the project. You are also confirming that your attention was raised to the risks that are present on some of these levels.
