My au is undertale fractured history the backstory for this au is of course like many aus the him did several genocide runs but also neutral sans slowly got tired of the repeating painful events watching his friends die so he decided to try and get the machine behind his a paps house to work again this machine was a Time Machine which could change their fate as they knew it but the problem was sans only knew half of the tech skills needed to fix it serveral timelines later a mysterious grey door appears in waterfall sans seeing this as a possible sign to help his project walks through the door and when he does he finds gaster the long lost/forgotten royal scientist of the underground/past coworker he spoke to gaster about the human and their endless resets and his plan to change their fate so they don’t have to suffer any longer gaster agrees to help sans seeing that this could be his ticket out of the void sans had one issue gaster was still bound to the void and didn’t know how long the door would stay there so he quickly teleported to alphy’s and gave her a run down on what’s going on and she just so happened to have a device to help with this he took her back with him to the void set up the gear and the process worked as soon as it did they heard word of the human was starting to spread again meaning they didn’t have much time left to enact their plan sans decided to let his brother in on the plan in case they wouldn’t be able to see each other again if the timeline was completely altered papyrus really was just confused on the whole timeline situation but liked the idea of time travel and just went along with it now that the machine was restored they realized that one person would have to stay behind to operate the machines destination in time that person was alphy’s she decided to sacrifice herself for the great or good gaster sans and papyrus got into the machine it started up and they were sent back to the monster war they came prepared for the worst they spent no time explaining to the past monsters that they were from the future and they were here to help they accepted their offer and with the new reinforcements knowledge of the wars original outcome they were victorious but they didn’t want any human to commit another genocide on their kind again so sans papyrus and gaster volunteer to seal the humans and themselves on the other side of the barrier to make sure no human tried to escape the underground and kill their kind ever again gaster declared himself the king and sans and papyrus the members of this timelines royal guard many years later 202x the future monsters heard of this timelines royal guard travel tale and the humans that were sealed in the underground pete a local penguin artist let his curiosity get the best of him like many times before and decides to find out for himself if there were any humans left and if the time traveling hero’s of legend were still alive he made his way up mount ebott found a large whole in the ground next to a sign that said danger stay away Pete acknowledged this but kept going despite that he pulls out a rope from his pouch ties it to a unstable rock and starts climbing unknowingly the rock gets pulled out of the ground and Pete falls screaming for his life lands on a mattress and passes out where does this story goes next you’ll just have to wait and find out!
