What do you think?

Very nice idea! I thought the game had a great challenge to it, but I could clearly feel myself being better at it the more I played. The art is nice and fits the game well. Giving the early warning for the rocket also felt really fair and when I got hit I knew it was 100% my fault. Nice job on this one!

Cool idea! I really like the colors and overall style. The lightning storm is a neat effect and the rockets showing up early before they fire is really helpful for planning your movement. My high score far is 1,750. Nice work on your game!

This is a fun, simple little game. I liked the palette and the overall art style.

I think my one complaint would be the hitbox of the city at the bottom, it feels a bit too easy to get hit when you need to fly low, and a lot of the time you'll be hitting empty air which feels a bit unfair.

Nice job though. It's a tried and tested type of game, but it works!

Audio doesn't appear to work in Safari, think it might be a GameMaker/Safari thing? Works fine in other browsers.

Can you add trophies to your game?

Mexico City, 1984. Alien visitors from Proxima Centauri have stranded themselves on Earth, unable to reach their home system with little electricity to power their spacecraft. The Mexican government are bemused, and deploy the City Defence Force to take out the aliens while they're down. Suddenly, a storm of lightning Jolts erupts over the city, giving the visitors one last chance to gather their fuel.

Guide your spaceship to collect lightning Jolts as they strike down, but watch out for incoming missiles from the City Defence Force.

Some notes on the design:

  • Designed for both opera desktop & mobile (single button/touch controls).

  • Progressive difficulty, game/missile speed ramps up as you progress.

  • Collectables are designed to give the player an extra incentive to move aside from dodging missiles, to add to the gameplay.

  • Consistent look & feel, retro themed art/palette.

  • Endless play.

  • 2-player co-op works well (IMO) in an endless/high score game.
