Das Fest des Schneewehens (Miros deri Isentrasual)

Welcome to the biospheres of Areanthas!

This is a personal learning project for architectural and environmental design in a virtual space - in this case: Unreal Engine 5. I call it a "walkable world visualisation" or "walkable illustration". There will be zero gameplay, because the focus is to show how i imagine the landscapes from my book trilogy. It also helps me with the plot.

The book is named "Areanthas: Companions midst Shadows".

The project is based during the time between the first and second book, after the big battle.

____________

Prototyping

Meshes generated with Aura AI and Meshy, but placeholders only. Once the handmade model has been finished, the AI generated mesh will be entirely removed.

____________

Sounds, Textures, Blueprints

All handmade or from open sources!

____________

Accessibility

Currently only Zulnath and Boreas are accessible, while Zulnath is the most developed so far. Imreit and Rhyat'aldra will take the longest due to the very specific vegetation and my lack of skills in making trees.

____________

Features:

  1. A walkable, explorable landscape, just like explained in the books.

  2. Sitting on benches and on the ground, climbing ladders.

  3. Readable lore books.

  4. Examinable plants.

Replaced another AI generated mesh with my selfmade. Some very light snow is now filling the settlement of Boreas. I also finally made the background landscape.

The german localization package works fine and is finally fixed! Although it seems like the graphics settings broke. Hmm...

Also, there's a function to hide the interface now.

This is the government building. Huge, monumental - but that's normal. Zulnath is the city of knowledge and central location of the government. I've imported the raw mesh to look at the size. It seems to be fine.

Sitting, lying - relax as much as you want! (Read the article.)

Added some loungers and parasols to the oasis. Corrected the water depth. Added a walkway, paths and some smaller dunes. Last thing i'll add are two ladders into the water at the sides of the walkway. Then i'll see it as finished.
