Description

Babylumns is a fast, versus puzzle arcade inspired by the 90s arcade and 16‑bit console classics, built on the Columns tradition. The demo includes 6 playable characters (each with their own colorful forms) and one boss, set in an antique, mythified setting. My target for the full game is at least 8 playable characters and 2 bosses, each with unique music, animations and combo abilities.

How to play

Move the falling blocks with the joypad or arrow keys. Rotate them with the action button or [space]. Don’t let your blocks reach the top of the playfield, or you lose.

The gauge fills over time. When it reaches the end, an event occurs: rising blocks, speed boost, bonus bomb, and more.

combo.gif

Match 3 blocks of the same color in a line, horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. A combo x3 or x4 unleashes your character’s special powers.

Babylumns demo is now live!
Playable in browser, with online leaderboards and daily scores. I’ve also tested it with a gamepad, and it works well.
