Any new updates?
Are we still planning on getting updates for this? I miss it ;(
Hey, so I did end up making a part two, after doing a video with CiaranPixelz I went ahead and did one of my own with him. If you want to here some more feedback without watching the whole video skip to 8:12-9:11 where I summarized what we thought should be added.

Also, this game looks REALLY FREAKING KEWL!!! I'm really surprised that this doesn't have much attention. The graphics style is great, the music is pretty good, the gameplay is fun (But then again you can't go wrong with Asteroids) and it's just overall great.
Bacteroids is an ongoing project that is being actively developed, my plan is to add more mechanics and different types of enemies in the near future, so stay tuned!
Gameplay
The aim for the player is to navigate the screen filled with various enemies, avoid them and collect resource in the form of energy that can be used to shoot at the same enemies.
Bacteria represent the enemies in the game, shooting / killing a bacteria has a chance to cause a split and a mutation that produces a different kind of enemy - with superior AI, speed or abilities.
Control:
Move: Left Mouse Button / W
Shoot: Rigth Mouse Button / Spacebar
Boost: Left Shift
Current Version
0.2.0 (I skipped a minor version)
Each wave increases in size, speed and growth speed.
Failing to kill a bacteria causes mutation
Touching bacteria causes mutation
Growing bacteria that split can cause mutation as well.
Mutations represent developing resistance .
