I was profoundly moved by this game. The art style was beautiful. The stories about the different people was relatable and I found myself empathizing with them a lot. The prose was very strong, so much so that it hooked me in almost instantly.
God bless all of you involved for creating something so refreshingly heartfelt and unique! I’m rather surprised/disappointed there aren't more comments like this here. I hope this gets a lot more attention in the future. :)
Hey, your game sounds awesome! I’d recommend doing the following to turn it into a bigger success on Game Jolt!
1. Post about your game, news and updates in as many communities as it makes sense! Communities like Game Dev or Arts n Crafts will get your posts in front of thousands of users! Find more communities here: https://gamejolt.com/communities.
2. Write a bio on your profile. A complete profile always looks more legitimate in the eyes of the community. This is a great place to add in your website or other social channels.
3. Post and update your followers frequently to stay on their radar!Â
Hi! I'm a Spanish translation student and I'm looking for a game to translate into Spanish for a university project. Your game seems super cool! If you are interested in working with me please tell me :)
I just finished the playthrough and here are my thoughts.
I absolutely love the art style of this game it goes so well with the narritive of this story. The games functions ran smoothly even on my junk laptop haha. The music choices and use of foley really make this feel polished and I can just feel the love put in to creating this. over all id rate this game a 9.5/10 only because i wished for a bit more of "game" play but that is just my personal opinion. Thank you for creating this and keep up thje good work!
While searching for new stories to tell, you look outside your window...and catch glimpses of other people's lives.
Observing their struggles, you ask yourself what you would do if it was you living those moments, those situations.
As you immerse yourself in stories filled with love, choices and difficulties, will you be able to find something to inspire your ideas?
Initially developed for Global Game am 2020, Beyond Your Window is a short narrative game divided into 4 different short stories, each with an epilogue that changes depending on the players' choices.
In July 2021 it won the "Best Italian Debut Game" award at the Italian Video Games Awards.
