The Story:

Coming this summer... Green Ship stars in an epic chip-tune-accompanied adventure to save the universe. Armed with only some pewpew makers and a restart button, he must pewpew the nefarious red ships and stop them from getting in the way of his high score. Everything isn't so simple, though, because the person at the controls has never actually flown a Green Space Ship in real life. Is this the end of life as we know it? Will the cliché red enemies win? Find out in Bit Wing. Coming to a theater near you. Rated 5/7

Features:

  • A ~quick-and-dirty~ totally amazing auto-updater that I made myself

  • (Basically) infinite stages

  • Gamepad support (tested with XBox 360 and PS3 controllers)

  • 4-player local co-op

  • A store for upgrades

  • 4 pewpew makers to pewpew enemies with

  • A really basic boss (I have plans for this)

Controls:

  • Action | Keyboard | Controller (XBox)

  • Shoot | Space/X | X

  • Move | WASD/Arrow Keys | Left analog stick or d-pad

  • Cycle Weapon | Z/Numpad | Y

  • Toggle Autofire | Q | A

  • Restart Game (At end) | Enter | Start

  • Quit Game | Escape | Select

To start the game, shoot the Bit Wing logo. To purchase items at the store, shoot them.

To start co-op mode, shoot the 4 colored ships in the top left corner. Every shot will add a new player, up to 4. Players 2-4 require gamepads.

Penetration adds one extra hit to each laser. This stacks

GM Update in Progress

I’m remaking the game in Gamemaker. It’s easier, has better performance, and looks better (the particle system is 10x better than what I know how to do alone). It’s about halfway done, so look forward to that

First Release

Testing the GameJolt scene out by letting some of my incredible genius into the mix. I’m looking forward to both the diehard fans and the brutal criticism
