song name?
Is this supposed to be a clone of my game? (Weird Galaxy) And of course, it had to be made better. Nice.
Very nice, clean graphics. Wasnt sure what to do, but a great prototype. I included it in my Textureless Jam 2015 compilation video if you would like to take a look :) http://youtu.be/AURElZ22Z8I
Biverse is a prototype of a space exploration game made for #texturelessjam2015, with music by James Malone (@Malone_Music on Twitter). It was a bit too ambitious a project, so it's still unfinished, but you can enjoy the first prototype to get a feel of what the game would be like.
EDIT: Biverse has arrived 5th in the #texturelessjam2015 and is now upgraded to version 0.1! Many changes have been implemented and the game has gone from a simple prototype to a very quiet exploration game. Next up - making it less quiet!
In Biverse you travel through an immense 2D galaxy with your starship, moving through interstellar space, entering solar systems, landing on planets. Right now you can enjoy the core engine and use your fighter to roam in a peaceful randomly generated galaxy - including zapping around with your hyperdrive.
Contols:
Mouse to point your ship
WASD to accelerate/decelerate/strafe
M to switch to map
J to turn hyperjump planning mode on (while in map, must not be on a planet's surface)
T to turn targeting grid on/off
ESC to quit (if playing offline)
The final game should include:
combat! As the last remnant of an ancient race, fight through the four empires that now occupy the galaxy to recover the pieces of the Artifact. Or something (plot development pending).
stats and enhancements for your starship.
resources - gather fuel from planets and set spawning points
weird space phenomena! Black holes, neutron stars, wormholes, the whole thing.
less bugs! ...hopefully.
Please send us your comments and opinions, the more interest, the more I'll be electrified about finishing this!
