It's a block-party speed-ball #arena battle #multiplayer #FPS game with a emotionally vibrant, story-rich #campaign mode.
This is an #experimental game which will teach me some advanced game dev skills in the making of it. The finished product will not be experimental. I have all day today on #Thanksgiving Day 2024. I may as well not squander the plentiful time that I have today and actually start making this for once.
About
The game is a #speedball block #partygame. It's a #3v3 arena #PvP battle FPS game. There is a story mode with an emo storyline too for people who are lone wolves and who like to go #singleplayer.
Controls
WASD space and mouse-look with left mouse click to fire. Alternatively use a #gamepad or set your own custom keys. #Keybindings will be available too in the settings menu accessible from the front page/main menu.
WTF is this online game thing-y?
Ignore that; that was Frontier+, a project that preceeded Blockheads. Basically, the Frontier+ page became the Blockheads project page on Thanksgiving Day 2024.
You can still play Frontier+ until Blockheads Online (the browser game variant) goes live sometime before the end of this year. Frontier+ is playable by the same controls but does not have keybindings. Frontier+ is an #RPG not a #shooter.
