A handy-dandy description of this future virtual dumpster fire

I keep slowly adding to plans for a really cool RPG game. It's all currently in planning, but I really wanted to make a page for it. Info will be changed as it all comes along, so maybe expect some news at some point?

This may take a while as I'm doing everything by myself and besides some old Scratch titles from years ago, I have no idea what I'm doing. When a playable version of this comes out, it will be a proud moment of my life.

While we're here though, here's a few important things of note that I've definitely got nailed down:

-Pixelated art style. This is both due to personal preference and because I physically can't do any other kind.

-The game is akin to the Mario and Luigi series and first two Paper Mario games in terms of gameplay.

-A good bit of focus is going to be put into dialogue. I'm not trying to get a comedian of the year award, but if it's better than what some multi-billion dollar studios are putting out these days (you know EXACTLY who and what I'm referring to) then I've succeeded.

-There are two different adventures depending on which player character you pick at the start of the game, with different characters, different locations, etc. There's also other characters everywhere. It's actually becoming a bit of a problem, to be honest. There's never an available parking spot and some of them live in the public toilets, which I'm sure you can figure out how well that goes.

-There's something beneath the surface

-Easter eggs, references and cameos and all the other cool thingamajigs everywhere! Especially in some areas.

-A bowl of salad (it was my lunch, but I dropped it somewhere without realising. If you find it, could you let me know? I'm still hungry.)

That's pretty much all I've got at the moment, so bye for now.

all-ages

making a tile set so I can actually make a room

progress is great amirite

Redoing the earlier animations to reach the standards of the newer one. If it doesn't make eyes leap out of their sockets and into a vat of acid because they couldn't handle how terrible it was, hooray

New canvas size ranges from 16x16 to 36x36 per thing.

It's apparently been 7 days, according to my very real magic watch that can tell the time in advance, thank you very real magic watch, so let's get the information about enemy no. 2 out there.

this is slowly turning into an art project

oh yeah made a thumbnail, not my best but good enough

I decided on the name. I went with Blox's RPG.

I know, a little on-the-nose, but I just couldn't come up with one that fit the theme, but then I realised:
The theme is that it's my game, my creation that I can look upon proudly. You understand, right? Ok.

I made a header for the page. Here's the regular picture for the sake of zoom and everything. Maybe as development goes along, I'll add more on the hill for the respective areas.

I'm learning more things :D

Final announcement for now, I'm scheduling some information posts on the other two enemies I have sketches for. They should be in 7 and 14 days respectively.

Now I'm off to go get my full 8 minutes of sleep.

Goodnight.

I'm putting any plans of the second world on hold until I have the first world, which should be a nice base. Also came up with basic combat that the fancy mechanics I mentioned go on top of. Progress is slow from procrastination. Etc. You get the gist.
