can you finish this game. i have been waiting a year
Reminds me of the classic Cossacks games... Cool!
Amazing! Spectacular!
i want to get the game so bad
Looks good!
A game where you build castles in a randomly generated world. Right now it is very early in development. I plan to make this game a RTS where there's multiple players building fortresses and battling for control over the world.
The coolest thing about this game is that it is all completely 2D, even though it looks fully 3D and has view rotation, all of the graphics are rendered with 2D sprites. I accomplished this by having each object have a sprite that represents it for every 45 degree angle the view can be rotated. As a consequence, the view can only be rotated in 45 degree increments, which has its advantages and disadvantages. The greatest advantage is it means I can make a 2D game look 3D and the view is very quick and responsive to rotate, unlike other games where it is slow and lags behind the cursor.
I plan to have a vehicle builder in this game as well, where the player can design their own custom land, sea, and aerial vehicles and outfit them with weapons, cargo space, and seating arrangements of their choice.
I'm going to be providing more details about the game design as I come up with them. I'm sortof developing the game and improvising as I go, so follow the game if you want to get future updates and learn more about what kind of game it is going to be.
Controls:
WASD or Arrow Keys to move the view.
Use <Q> and <E> to rotate the view.
Use the scroll wheel to rotate parts.
Left click to place parts.
Right click to delete parts.
(I don't know why i'm posting the controls when this is only a devlog and the game can't be downloaded yet, but whatever, I guess it will be easier later when I switch from devlog to playable builds, just remind me to get rid of this note, lol)
