Great game, also this made my day

Best fucking Trtf Ever 10/10 Better than fucking radiance fangame remakes with 60k extra detalied graphics btw grey bears beating my fucking ass in 1 minuty

Been playing around with this game for the past few days and I've had quite a lot of things to say about it, lots of great things but there are a few off things I've noticed.

Pros:

-This game makes great usage of TRTF3's mechanics, on top of the new ones it adds. The light mechanic with Kitty and Lockjaw is phenomenal, I love that you have to let them approach you and then deal with them. It's tense, even in later nights when I'm completely used to them, and especially when it's in tandem with door characters. That shit is so anxiety-inducing and satisfying to overcome, love it to death

-The post-game blew me away in a way I was not expecting. The extras and custom night were one thing, having additional cheats for those custom nights, an entire menu dedicated to promoting other TRTF remakes, the Alpha desk and additional figures to unlock upon being aggressive presets are great. (Also I went ahead and tested it myself, all of the challenges are possible with all of the red cheats active, I haven't done Full 10 or Full 20 with it yet but at the very least I bet you could do them individually, so there you go, it works :))

-Dread Mode in and of itself is absolutely phenomenal. You turned a random-ass teaser minigame for TRTF5 into a full-on shmup with gameplay and music from of one of my favorite games, I respect you a lot for that one, and the multiple playable characters actually having full-on gameplay gimmicks is so much fun

Cons:
-Easily the biggest gripe I have is with how clearly scripted most of the movement is. I understand that it would probably break the game if animatronics had random movement like in other FNaF games but it kills a lot of anxiety when you come to realize nights can be beaten by just following a pattern (though I'm fine with Lockjaw doing it since he can backtrack, that makes perfect sense for him)

-I barely noticed a difficulty curve for the first 4 nights during my first playthrough of the game and then the 5th night kind of felt jarring compared to the other 4, though I could've just been bad, I think it's noteworthy. Combined with the scripted movement, the base game could've been a lot better. I kind of hope you make the AI more difficult for some of the less-relevant animatronics in the base game, like Chica and Vigo, because it felt like they just appeared once or twice a night and were never a challenge

-Corrupt Signal should've been changed as well because it's kind of dumb if I'm gonna be honest. Like it's fine in the OG game since there's not exactly a light mechanic, but in this game I find it hard to understand why they aren't just the same mechanic. Just doing that could actually solve having to make the animatronics scripted entirely, so a corrupt and lights off animatronic wouldn't be able to gang up on you, and the door animatronics aren't that tough to deal with between actions

-Shadow Lockjaw is a bitch. As an easter egg, it makes sense that he crashes the game, but if you're going to make him a full-on mechanic in Custom Night he should probably kick you back to the warning/title screen at least

-The Marionette in Dread Mode kind of sucks ass, its gift boxes should be able to insta-kill the Tortured Freddies, or at least the Tortured Freddies should be weaker because they feel kind of OP with how fast their bullets are? And also it would make the Tortured Bonnies feel more tanky when they're the common enemy with the most health, as they probably should feel

-Very very minor nitpick but the Flashback challenge is kind of boring, it's just 20/20/20/20, except less difficult. You should throw someone else in there or just replace the challenge entirely tbh, make 1987 an actual easter egg combination like FNaF 1 instead maybe? Maybe you could just make it that secret Lockjaw head jumpscare that happens when booting up the game sometimes lol

Overall, great game, you did an amazing job remixing the gameplay of TRTF3 and everything else you added. It has a lot of fundamental gameplay flaws that bring things down, but nonetheless, love it. Keep up the good job dude

Just a question, what is Chica's audio? I first thought it was the groan but apparently that's Lockjaw? So what is it and if I can't hear it, can I at least see Her?

Waking up seeing the trailer first thing in the morning for the chadder TRTF 3 was an experience I will never forget.

Nightmare Mode Theme (Hide and Seek Remix) by Sigrid Rodriguez

Despite all of its jank, the TRTF series, in my opinion, had great potential, only hampered by Tyler being uhh... not all that competent when it came to making a functioning game. The third entry in particular is probably my favorite in the series, real unpopular opinion I know, and I believed that it could actually be a great game that would hold up even now if it wasn't complete and utter jank.

At first this was meant to be a simple recode meant to fix only the core issues, but over time I kept adding on to it, as I'm not the type of person that would be satisfied with *just* a basic recode, when I could go at least a bit more beyond that.

So with the fluff out of the way, what does this add/change?

  • A complete from-the-ground-up recode of the game in widescreen, as the game, in my opinion, would work fairly well in that ratio with its absolute fucking chonker of an office and cameras that don't take up the whole screen

  • Rebalance of the enemies, along with a new Lights Shutoff mechanic, the idea for which came from the scrapped power out office sprites, and some quality of life improvements, like multiple characters being able to show up in the camera at once

  • Night 6 and Night 8 now stand out just a bit more

  • A fully implemented custom night with challenges and cheats

  • A new secret ending for beating Night 8

  • A small detail, you now collect plushies within minigames themselves

  • A new post-night minigame for Night 4

  • Nightmare Mode, introducing new enemies and having you use completely different mechanics from the usual gameplay

  • Dread Mode - a more fleshed out spin on the Protect Your Son minigame, having you face off against waves of Ghoul Animatronics. Contains 6 characters, all with different playstyles, and an unlockable secret final boss

  • The FNaF cast is still in the game!
