Consolation is a product of Depressed Net, and should not be redistributed, manipulated, or investigated by any federal/private organization. Depressed Net is not responsible for any kind of "damage" done while using the program.
The year is 1979. You play as a young boy returning from a long day at school. Seeking out a solution to your problems, you install a program found in the local library onto your PC known as CONSOLATION. The program begins by asking you a series of questions. It feeds. It watches. It grows.
CONSOLATION is a 2-D Psychological Horror Game I am working on. Currently I am working on a Playable Teaser/Prototype of the game, to see my abilities, to learn, and to see how it is received so I can know how to make the final version, and how much effort should be put in.
The FULL games mechanics consist of every day/night begins with the player entering the bedroom and turning on the light. The player is free to roam the room, and eventually will approach the Console Computer. Once in the computer, you will be asked questions, each with its own multiple choice answers. Once the questions for that day/night are over, the PC will power off, and the room will be much darker. That indicates it is late, and the player will have to proceed to the bed to end the day/night level. Each day/night will get creepier, more disturbing, and more mysterious. With many secrets, questions, events, and eventually a major change in environment for the end(s).
The PLAYABLE TEASER/Prototype version will only have one night, a most likely less polished style, a different variety of questions, secrets, Easter eggs, and multiple endings.
The game is NOT a fan game, but is admittadely inspired by games such as Five Nights at Freddy's and Undertale.
