Gather the Crew

Captain Holst's entire crew was devoured by a terrible sea monster called The Leviathan. Now he's trying to gather a crew strong enough to slay that sea monster once and for all!

Gather the Crew is a game all about building your own unique pirate crew. There are 10 playable characters that you can recruit to join your adventure, and most of the objectives in the game can be completed in any order you want, or skipped entirely.

Unlike most RPGs, your crewmates won't increase their stats as they level up. Instead, they'll learn new techniques that'll allow them to interact with the battle in new and interesting ways. Crewmates will be able to increase their stats by finding unique equipment and magical gemstones hidden throughout the world. You'll need to search for treasure if you want a shot at beating the leviathan.

I made this game as an exercise in Game Design. I hadn't played around with RPG Maker since I was fresh out of high school, so I thought it'd be fun to see how far my game development skills have come.
