I don't hate the game but you don't need to remove Susie just to add some random OC
Quick Notes
If you're wondering where Susie is, she's going to be in the game. She's not getting replaced by Uffi.
The sudden appearance of Uffi in new footage is supposed to seem random. All will be explained in the game. The new footage is a portion of a planned cutscene.
The randomness of Uffi's appearance can also explain the appearance of several other new characters, most of which won't be in your party.
Other notes will be added here with time.
Issues & Bugs (July 2025 Dev Build):
Issue: I can't use my controller!
Answer: You can't use a controller in the current build. This will be implemented in the actual demo.
Issue: I can't get past the save select.
Solution: Read CONTROLS.txt in the executable file's directory. You should find the keybind for switching between rooms. If you can't find it, use the following controls:Tab (Hold) + Q (Press) - Previous RoomTab (Hold) + W (Press) - Next Room
Issue: On the save select, the SOUL disappears when the first file isn't selected.
Answer: This is a known bug. It will be resolved in the actual demo.
Issue: When interacting with objects, Kris is stuck on their last walking frame.
Answer: This is another known bug. It will be fixed in the planned demo.
Issue: When I click a certain combination of keys, either the party member shown flies off-screen or the game crashes.
Answer: This is a result of how the debug command for adding party members works. To get past this, don't use that command while you're playing. (Key combination should be Tab (Hold) + Any number key)
Issue: In battle, the buttons don't do anything!
Answer: They haven't been coded as of this current build. Again, this will be resolved in the actual demo.
Issue: The UI doesn't show in the Dark World!
Answer: That's because we haven't coded it into the game yet. It'll be fixed in the actual demo.
Issue: In the Light World, the C Menu works, but when I click a button, either a blank box appears, or icons that do nothing appear!
Answer: The Light World C Menu hasn't been completed as of this build. It will be complete in the full demo.
If something that you believe should do something doesn't work in this build (Like the buttons in battle), then chances are it hasn't been coded. Read this to learn how to counter issues in the build. You will counter at least one issue, there's a pretty big one upon booting up the build.

The KNIGHT... The bringer of chaos between the lands of LIGHT and DARK, almost failed in their plan to eradicate LIGHT and DARK. When it seemed like the plan would fail, in a desperate attempt, the Knight used the power of the SOUL to reconstruct the lands of LIGHT and DARK.
