what a nice game! the custom graphics are stylish and cool, the dramatic storytelling is executed nicely and this made me want to play Heartlive!) nice job, Adam!
there are two big problems with the game, though - firstly it's the invisible barriers scattered around the desert and in some places of Snowtown - they're very hindersome and bumping into them at times feels like trying to navigate an invisible labyrinth - would be better if instead of them you made Tredes turn around and walk for 1 tile like you did with the bottom path in Snowtown) the second problems are the dramatic pauses between most, if not all, messages - i understand why you included them and in some scenes (like when Tredes encounters Dog or his final confrontation with Xer) they fit well but at all other times it feels like they're just here to waste your time or the characters, akin to actors in a play, are trying to remember their lines - the best solution would be to keep those pauses for dramatic moments and delete them from every other dialogue!) other than that - no gripes with the game, it's a solid and fun experience!
also is Xer a guy or a girl or something else and does Xer have a phd in anything hahahah
Good story. I'm not sure if I got a bad ending though. I lost to Xer. Anyway, I agree with the invisible walls being annoying. It does help guide us and not become lost, which a lot of rpg makers don't execute navigation very well. However, you could have chosen a more immersive option. A fence or some flora in the way would not only make more sense than an invisible force field, but it would also better indicate what areas are out of bounds or not. Just some advice.
This game tells about the terrible events of the hero Tresed and his small desert town.
The game is an addition to the story of Heartlive but you don't have to play Heartlive to understand the story of this game.
