TLDR; this is a huge combination of AUs; most notably Dusttrust, Dusttale, Dusttale: Last Genocide, Undertale: Last Breath, and so many others. (Battle style will contain some Pre-Leak Dusttrust + FDY!Legacy Dusttrust)
Many of genocides have been played in succession, and you've decided to do it all again with a reset.
As you reset, you're spawned in a different timeline. A timeline where two nerdy friends seem to have gone missing.
One of these friends was a lazy skeleton with a suspicion that his world was being tampered with.
The other, was a shy scientist capable of creating inventions at a caliber that the skeleton needed.
Together, they worked tirelessly and swiftly to develop a mechanism capable of traveling through timelines.
Without hesitation, Sans, the lazy skeleton travels to a point in time prior to your first brutal genocide not knowing what he would have to undergo.
As he helplessly watches you heartlessly slaughter all of his friends, including his own brother, Papyrus, the poor skeleton starts to fall apart.
Sans connects what he had just endured with previously erased save states and slowly begins to remember exactly what he had just watched. This, was reality.
The wise skeleton realizes that you will return once more to do your psychotic murder spree, but this time he understands that his typical judgement would not be enough.
You are not worthy of Sans' mercy.
A dark, mysterious figure walks up to Sans with intent to deliver a message...
The figure tells Sans about his plans to restore hope for the monster-kind and that he was unable to do it alone.
The figure needed Sans' help.
After a long period of consideration, Sans regretfully agrees to assist the figure in the name of saving the monsters.
Stooping down to your level.

Corrections & Exceptions to make this AU possible:
Sans was holding back and still had faith in you in his previous judgements.
This takes a lot of inspiration from Segasonic101's distrust in how Underswap Sans' power skyrockets just because he is suspended in distrust of you.
This combined with his Genocide gives him his godlike powers.
No, this isn't Underswap.
Sans' Karma can kill you and is amplified.
Yes, Sans is still the judge.
Monster & human souls are way more powerful in this AU, hence justifying the insane difficulty of this battle. (+ There are more souls)
Like the original sans fight, this fight is supposed to be somewhat unfair.
All of his attack patterns will have the same difficulty. (Except for special attacks and final attacks)
Along his genocidal journey, Sans has gained more weapons and abilities rather than simply having bones and blasters.
This is to make his attack patterns more interesting, longer, and challenging.
Along Sans' genocidal journey, you yourself have also done some killing (either in other AUs or this AU previously), so your LV will be 40.
Since your LV is 40, your stats are:
HP: 176 | AT: 78 (doesn't matter as Sans will do various things to get around this) | DF: 9.75 (with your DF, Sans attacks will do 2 dmg.)
Yes, you still do not have any invincibility frames.
Additional alterations have been made to the core AUs to make this AU possible. THIS AU IS NOT MEANT TO STAY TRUE TO UNDERTALE or any of the other AUs in this mix! This is a brand new AU mixed with others for inspiration!

Uhhh I have a lot of reasons why, lemme list 'em for ya:
Lemme answer your nonexistant question with another question: Why is Sans so damn weak? To me, Dusttale and Dusttale: Last Genocide's attack patterns really disrespected DT!Sans and DTLG!Sans true power, their attack patterns didn't look chaotic enough and weren't up to par with how their difficulties really should be.
Canon Dusttrust is god awful and Underswap: Thanatos was pretty alright. I really don't know why Dillywolf ruined Dusttrust and is proud of it? Pre-leak was such a sweet AU, and for some reason she decided to change it up... Don't get me wrong, Finality is a good take; it's just not as good as Pre-leak. Underswap: Thanatos was pretty sweet, however, same problem. Some things just didn't need to be canon, and the game looked a little too easy. (Yes, ik looks and actual gameplay are different, but ONE OF the goals of Dustfaith are **to look insanely hard, and be insanely hard. It's literally goddamn Sans XD**) Not to mention that Underswap: Thanatos is no longer a Dusttrust take... it's a shame tbh, it was pretty good... it just needed some improvements, and it sure as hell was (and still is) better than Finality lmao.
I have always wanted to see Undertale Sans suspended in some sort of Distrust, or Disbelief. Have you ever seen non-Underswap Sans suspended in Distrust or Disbelief? NO, YOU HAVEN'T! Why? Well, you may say: Sans was already suspended in Distrust when he fought you originally, OR That Disbelief was for Papyrus. But uh apparently these types of feelings seem to really make a character OP, so why not give it to Sans. (oh uh in this AU, Sans wasn't depressed, he still had faith in you in his judgements prior to this Ultimate Final Battle™️)

This AU/Game is a mix of *inhale* Canon + Fanon Undertale, Deltarune, Dusttale, Disbelief, Dustbelief, Dusttrust, Undertale: Thanatos, Underswap: Thanatos, BH!Dustdust, Undertale: Last Breath, Dusttale: Last Genocide, Dustswap (wait what?!), Underswap (HUH?!), Distrust, and so much more oml (oh yeah and some original concepts written by us haha)
These can be from attack inspiration to full up story inspiration. This AU does NOT take place in Dustswap or Underswap, it takes place in Dustfaith :D
-- Differentiation from classic Dusttale/Dusttrust/Dusttale: Apposite Day
Dusttale follows the typical canontale lore. The key details being:
Sans is already depressed (this is shown in the end of pacifist where Sans suggests that the monsters should *stop trying*)
The "Faith" Emotion behaves a little differently, similar to Underswap: Distrust 2: the cooler edition by Segasonic101 where Sans power sky rockets just from him being suspended in the feeling of distrust.
Dusttrust Sans is canonswap, while this version of sans uses concepts from various AUs, most notably, Undertale and Dusttale.
Dusttale: Apposite Day is a theoretical AU that does not exist yet. Think of this as my version of it :p
Undertale: Apposite Day is Disbelief Sans. Dusttale: Shattered Faith is Disfaith sans. (Yes, disfaith is a word.)
The best way to think of would be "Disbelief", "Distrust", and "Disfaith" each being separate souls (and emotions) with different strengths, powers, abilities, etc.
