I can see some kind of potential for some kind of horror game in the vain of Lucius (though hopefully less silly), and I like the art (were you influenced by Tim Burton? The game reminds me of his work.) but this demo - at the moment - leaves a lot to be desired.
The cross-fade into the tutorial is too slow, the movement is sticky and I gave up when I realised that I couldn't get past the first obstacle the game presented me with.
I as the player can only move in four directions and I have to let go of the keys to change course... and contrary to the description, there is no sound at all on my end, though this may be a bug or perhaps isn't in the game yet.
I will also say that the 'picking up items' system feels off.
First of all, picking up the pillows (some kind of equippable weapon?) requires me to move the mouse cursor over the item whilst I stand near it. This, I would say is unintuitive seeing how the game most closely resembles Zelda in terms of the play method, and I just assumed it would use only the keyboard. I also could not figure out how the pillows were used as the game failed to tell me, though the HUD did indicate that I had them stowed away somewhere. (Perhaps if I could touch the first 'enemy' without dying I would be able to work my creepy horror antagonist magic, but alas...)
This caused further confusion when it comes to picking up and dragging things (which would probably come into play if I could make any decent progress here) which requires you to touch an object, then click on it to start dragging it around, even though the chair I found can be pushed with regular movement anyway. I feel that if you want to implement pushing blocks and such, either have it so you have to stand near it to hit/hold the 'drag things' button or just have the item react to you bumping into it.
Not both, as these systems seem to fight against each other.
Anyways, I hope I provided at least some insight and I wish you the best of luck.
Don't give up!
Greetings Ladies and Gents! I happen to come across this game and I must say, I see much potential in this game! I feel that this game could easily be the next Fran Bow, but more dark. Being that its only an alpha demo I know not what to expect from this game, however, I see that, if given the time, this game could potentially be HUGE! But, I am just a game that knows nothing about creating games, so everything that I present to you is merely my humble opinion and vision for the future of this game. I did do my own Let's Play and hope that anyone who has the time gives it a look over for themselves!

I love the game and its style, but there needs to be some sort of checkpoint system so you don't have to start the game over EVERY TIME you mess up. It made me stop playing because it was so frustrating.
interesting game. I cant wait to see when its finished
A short yet interesting puzzle-rhyme-evil game :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TAQlRTdqDGI
