Firstly, the concept of a FNaW game in the style of a WarioWare game is an amazing idea to go with, props to that!

There was a glitch in the opening cutscene where the “A former main” text wouldn’t disappear and it stayed on screen until the Night 1 screen popped up.

Night 1 was okay, my main problem was just trying to listen to the phone guy and what he said. I don’t think I even caught his name at first because it was so quiet but I think it was Ken. I then checked and yes it was Ken who is also a WarioWare character, cool detail!

He is also super aware that there are dead spirits wandering the building and tell you this for some reason but to be fair plenty of games do this instead of doing what FNaW 1 did best where the phone guy wouldn’t tell you at first.

Mona and 5-Volt are alright in this night, Mona seems to be the Waluigi replacement since she took centre stage alongside Wario in the opening cutscene that resembles the classic FNaW 1 opening cutscene.

Night 2 was a bit more messy, I died at 5am on Night 2 to Mona because I was trying to push Young Cricket back on the last cam before my office.

Young Cricket is a bit poorly explained. The phone guy says that an entity could MAYBE be pushed back by the freeze button as long as you hold it down. I’m very glad he specifies to hold it down but I dislike that he claims it’ll “MAYBE push him back” when in reality, it does work but he just freezes on the camera. A better explanation would’ve been to just have him say that Young Cricket can be frozen in place if you use the freeze button and to be careful because he won’t go back.

This makes the Phone guy more of a nuisance than a helper.

Mona’s speed is also another reason I died here, Mona can sometimes choose to be SUPER fast. At one point in my playthrough I saw her dash through the cameras straight to my room (like one cam per few seconds she was that quick). And in Night 1, 5-Volt stayed at my door for a few hours which would’ve been really bad but the power is super lenient in this game. This also made it so that in Night 2, at 5am I could just have both doors shut and hold the freeze button down on Young Cricket, making it a guaranteed win. I’m hoping the alarm character (who wasn’t in this demo) can make this ending night exploit more difficult to do, or better, make the power less lenient but please don’t make it FNaW 1 v5.0 levels of bad.

It took me less than 25 minutes to beat the demo.

I found out when doing my notes that MLS voiced the phone guy and that was a huge shock to me, probably the most shocking thing from this demo imo lol.

I briefly heard Mona’s VA in her jumpscare since I only died once but I checked all of the jumpscares/VA’s and they ranged from okay to pretty good actually!

Mona seems to not want to attack us from one of her lines about not wanting to hurt us and she’s crying in the Game Over screen, I guess that could be expanded on in the full game.

samikaze (the developer of FNaW Circus Freaks) is also in this game which is cool!

Overall, a passable demo with some potential with the WarioWare styled premise but for now it’s a decent 2 Night experience.

Can i be a VA?
