hey there!!! beat the demo on video today, very lovely stuff! loved all the characters, plot bits as well as the gameplay - keep at it!!

Finished the demo-really like what you have so far! I really enjoyed the Rose Town segment of the game (especially the ambush outside of the store) as well as the music for the caves outside the town. I never got to use any of the Ultimate attacks, but I imagine that will be addressed towards more of the boss fights since the fights themselves will be longer. I also felt like the random encounters were easy to avoid, sometimes I was able to run through the grass/dark sections without encountering a single enemy. As for revamping the intro to the game: maybe something like getting a gift for out girlfriend? Perhaps we go around town getting her food, some kind of jewelry, a new dagger, etc. (kind of like the start of Chrono Trigger, innocent festival things/choices matter -> into tutorial fight). Excited to see more!
Gates of Aquarius (Demo Build)
On a distant planet called Gaia, an evil goddess reigns supreme. Her name? Aquarius. For years, she's subjected Gaia's people to endless pain and suffering... until now. A young woman named Camellia Moonflower, joined by a small band of friends, sets off on a quest to finally free Gaia from the mad goddess' tyranny!
This is a proof-of-concept version of a game idea that's been bouncing around in my head for almost 10 years now. This demo only has the first two towns included, so there's only about 30 minutes to an hour's worth of content, but I hope you all like what you see!

Everything in this build is subject to change. I plan on replacing all of the sprites, tilesets, music, and sound effects with my own at some point in the future. Possibly animations, too.
Also, just to be completely transparent, I am fully aware that there is most likely a LOT of jank in this first release. If you have any critiques, PLEASE let me know by leaving a comment! I want to make this game as good as I possibly can.
