Taking a break now, just got to level 4-10. Awesome game so far, I really enjoyed the uniqueness of each world. The head barrel-cannons in particular are great and I wish they were used even more. My only real complain is I wished you had used keyboard_check_direct() so I wouldn't have to re-enter the movement input every time the room restarts. But that's really just player preference. Great game nonetheless!
Well, now I've beaten the game, I'm going to review this properly.
The game is very polished, and has just the right controls for this sort of game. It's harder than a Super Meat Hexagon Birden of Isaac, but (most of the time) it didn't make it any less fun. My main complaint is the final boss, specifically the .2 and .3 phases. They are so ungodly frustrating, and the level just boils down to pure trial and error. The last phase, however, was much harder yet it was a million times better. It felt climactic and fair, and was a satisfying conclusion to the game. It's really a shame this game has 25 downloads, though, you worked on it for 2 WHOLE YEARS and nobody's played it.

5-5 killed me 80 times and I still can't figure out how to beat it...
Hatz is a hardcore platform game with over 60 levels, four hats, 9 bosses, and a ton of hidden bonus content just waiting to be unlocked. It was in development for nearly two-and-a-half years, most of which was spent procrastinating and going off on tangents.
Features music by Icymx, Phredderick, and Fyaopo! ... well, you've probably never heard of them, but their music is pretty awesome.
