Hotel Quay

Version: 0.1.0almost 8 years ago

The year is 2195 and the human race now lives in subterranean cities, after the Middle Era Wars, police are hunting a rogue government officer that has stolen plans for a new super-weapon, you are an unknown police officer in charge of the efforts to find the government officer. He is a computer genius and knows how to hack into stuff and cover his tracks, but apparently, itโ€™s not enough. You are the security guard at the Quay Hotel. The first ever hotel to go 5 floors down from the Main City. The security guard noticed the rogue earlier and recognized him from the wanted photos, after calling the police you keep an eye on the rogue using the security systems, the rogue knowing you called the police after tapping the phones, is now attempting to escape. Your role now is to take control of the Hotels Security and use the sensors and door mechanisms to keep him from escaping before the police can arrive to apprehend the rogue!

The Players Objective is to keep the Rogue Government Official from leaving the hotel for 5 minutes while the police force makes their way to the hotel to apprehend them. They can complete this by monitoring the security systems and locking rooms you think the rogue is. Be careful though! Locking down the wrong room will render them unable to do anything for a while until it unlocks, leaving the rogue able to run free to try and escape the building. Every now and then the rogue will attempt to hack a room, making it seem occupied or stop functioning at all to delay their efforts. You must then restart the room by hunting down the correct protocols in a minesweeper like minigame. Fail to find it in time and the rogue gets even closer to the exit. If the player succeeds in keeping the rogue in the building for 5 minutes in time for the police to arrive. The rogue is apprehended and the player wins, if the rogue manages to reach the lobby from the top of the hotel, its game over.

I made this game for my IT coursework and its been slowly gathering dust now. Depending if people like it I may continue development.
