This is a great game. I like all of it, except for a couple things.
The game has a bug, whenever you run inside of the snow piles (holding shift) you start to stumble through the snow like usual, and go slower, but if you continue holding shift to run/sprint, you will still run at the same speed as you did in the snow pile, even whenever you are out of it. You have to stop sprinting to return to regular speed. (To recreate this bug, find a pile of snow, run at it while holding shift, run the whole way through it, keep running and you will still be slow as if you're in the pile of snow.)
One thing I didn't like is that there isn't very much camera movement whenever you take your coat off, the camera will literally go inside of rocks if you stand by them with your coat off.
Also, in the beginning of the game, I wasn't able to read the intro text, I think you should add a "Click to Continue" feature there.
Some things I would like to see I this game are the following:
*Different weapons and upgrades for your weapons.
(for example, you can put the teeth of an animal on your spear and make it more damaging, possibly for stronger animals. And, maybe you can add the ability to have more than one spear, or maybe a bow.[I haven't gotten too far into the game, sorry if some of this is already in the game, I messing with the buffalo and getting trampled on...])
*Leveling of your character, with a point system.
(there can be 3 skill trees, Survival, Hunting and Trading. Survival will focus on your stamina and your ability to keep warm, etc. Hunting will focus on the amount of damage you deal and what you receive, etc. and Trading will focus on how much stuff is worth, how much you can carry, etc.-- which brings me to my next point.)
*Trading, different coats and maybe hats.
(Different coats to suit different play styles, for example a Hunter's coat that lets you throw your spear with the coat on, s Survivor's coat that lets you gain more warmth and loose less stamina with it on, and a Trader's coat that lets you hold more, different hats would increase different stats too like damage etc.. I would love to see different variants of coats and stuff.)
*Character creation, for the upcoming multiplayer
(Everybody looking the same would be... confusing.)
That's all I can think of for now, hopefully this game prospers! It has loads of potential, good luck.
I enjoy the game a lot :D a new cool addition could be drawings in the caves, but you would do the drawings :0
This is a really successful game. I think the details are fantastic for an alpha version . I want more !!!!!
Good work , I follow :)
This game really reminds me of Okami! I hope the update fixes some of the issues I had with it, though, namely that the controls/coat mechanic are a little clunky, and there's no means of being stealthy to minimize animal attention. Looking forward to the update!

Summary
Iktsua is a mangling of the Inuit word "Iktsuarpok". This word is untranslatable into english but means something like: "The feeling of anticipation that leads you to go outside and check if anyone is coming".
The reason we chose this as the name was because the game is based on a coming of age story, where an Inuit/Eskimo boy goes into the wilderness to become a man while his family anxiously waits for his return.
