Hey Codec! Jetsko here. I've recently played your game's demo and I can say, that I'm impressed with your work. This game has potential.

So I will say some PROs and CONs about it and put some ideas at the end.

PROs:

  1. The game graphics are so simple. Because of that, your game can stand out from the rest big budget, high graphics and ram eater games. (Like COD, Halo, CSGO 2, Valorant and Rainbow Six.)

  2. The fact that the game's graphics aren't that complicated, it can easily run on any device.

  3. The attack animations have little to no delay and look cool.

CONs:

  1. The tutorial doesn't explain the game's mechanics quite right and can cause a lot of confusion for new players. (Including me)

  2. The menu text is nocliping into one another making it hard to read.

  3. The Dash attack animations has some delay making it somewhat hard to spam (or I just suck).

Now, that I am done with the PROs and CONs, here are some ideas and concepts can you can use. I will post it on my channle so you can see it better.

You have done a great job on your game Codec and I can't wait to play the full version.

very solid demo, though i have nitpicks and some suggestions to fix them

  • the player is very sluggish, and the jump height is too, and mostly when you try to dash, you either overshoot it or are not high enough. this should be a simple fix.

  • as much as violently erotic dashing into the blue enemies are, sometimes the dash doesnt collide when i feel like it should, i would make the dash go a little further and/or make its dash hitbox last a little longer

  • speaking of the dash, like my first argument, i think it would be a good idea to slightly angle the dash, like holding the opposite direction the player is facing to go a little less further or holding up or down to move up or down a little

  • the projectile attack is small and hard to see, also doesnt travel far, so its a niche tool

  • slopes

other than that, solid demo
