Last Sight

What is this game?

This is a student project game made for the final major assessment. This is suppose to be a game ready to take to a room to pitch to people our idea. It should be clean and done to the best of our abilities but not be everything we wanted as this would be used to show off what our final product could look like. People should be able to play it and easily understand what we have in mind for the final product but also enjoy it enough to continue playing.

My particular role in this project was lead programmer, AI, audio editor, games designer and QA/debugger.

About:

Last Sight is a horror game, taking influence from other horror games such as Five Nights At Freddy's, using lite tower defence aspects, taking the ability to hinder the enemy's progress towards you by closing doors via a lever system. With a small rechargeable power supply for each side of the house, lever controlled doors, and a camera system, the player must keep the creatures out of the panic room.

This game isn't that well optimised as we didn't know exactly how to make it run smoother, it may run choppy on lower tier computers, sorry!

Controls:

Mouse to look.
E to interact.
Q to turn flashlight on/off.
Shift to sprint.
WASD to move around.

We most likely wont be continuing on this project any further. I may continue to do some minor tweaks and edits to improve the game slightly and add some quality of life changes. But as it is now all the mechanics/assets wont be changed. Keep in mind that this is a student project, we have much to learn and are interested in your feedback.

Most sound effects (excluding the voiced effects) were found on websites such a freesound.org. Almost every sound effect we used was edited and tweaked in some way.
