Late Stops

Introduction

Late Stops is a short indie horror experience where you play as Derek Adams, a man on a long, late-night road trip across the country. Somewhere along a quiet highway, his car runs out of gas. With just enough momentum, he rolls into a small convenience store that seems oddly untouched by time.

Inside, the shelves are dusty, the lights buzz faintly, and the cashier barely looks up. Derek grabs a few things and asks about a spare gas can. The cashier says he might have one, but just as Derek is about to leave, the power cuts out. The cashier isn’t surprised as it’s happened before, and asks Derek to help check the breaker out back.

As Derek steps outside, the silence feels heavier. Something about the place doesn't sit right. He’s not alone out there. Someone’s watching, or waiting. And the more he looks, the more he realizes this stop might not be what it seems.

What begins as a simple detour slowly unravels into something stranger. And if Derek wants to leave, he’ll need to keep his eyes open and trust his instincts before the night takes a turn he can't come back from.

So... Derek must learn about the town's mystery behind an ominous cult known as The Circle. He doesn't know much about it other than that it despises newcomers like him. At first he thinks it's some joke. But as the night goes on, the truth gradually reveals...

Gameplay

The gameplay lasts around 10 to 15 minutes and features a single ending, offering a focused, self-contained experience meant to be played in one sitting.
