What do you think?

A nice setup, but a few things are a bit odd for me.

  • For example, I couldn't see a stats screen, so it's hard to get a good view on the characters strengths and weaknesses, of course, given the class names, and experienced RPG player can find out, but still.

  • Traps like that statue from the side and exploding chest are well-found, but maybe not for such an early state in the game.

  • Perhaps a way to use items outside of battle.

  • And how about "strafing"? ;)

It is a good project, and since this project is not entirely complete I hope to see improvement. The picture with the four heroes looks inviting.
It may make the game even more inviting if the heroes had names in stead of "Warrior", "Priest", "Dancer" and "Wizard". A names makes them more personal. Allowing the player to enter those names may also work. If you are not really focusing on a story line (which is fine for a dungeon crawler), that could really improve the game.

Of course, I sound stricter than I need to be. I'm just giving some pointers, as I've played countless RPGs (even created some myself, although those are not dungeon crawlers although I do have plans for dungeon crawlers), I've a great love for the genre. It's a bit rough and the edges, but the base for a game that could be great is certainly there. For now I'll rate 3 out of 5, but if I see the game really become better, I may change my rating. ;)

This a 3D dungeon crawler inspired by games like The Dark Spire and Etrian Odyssey. This is a demo project that started as a homework. Your objective is try to get to the last room of the demo floor solving some light riddles while fighting some monsters.

Many parts of the game are not quite finisihed. For example, there's only one battle effect for all characters and the heal effect leaves a particle behind, among other things (Like a leveling system). If you like the game, and want to see it in a more completed state, please don't forget to support!

Controls:

Everything is controlled via mouse click. Menus, dialogue and battle options, etc. Even in the 3D dungeon you can go forward clicking anywhere, rotate the view draggin the mouse to the right or left and go backwards draggin the mouse to the back.
You can also move in the 3D dungeon with the WASD keys.
