What do you think?

this looks awesome!) i alredy love the style you're going for with the sprites for Chester and Lazlo, 0kXairen! even though they look pretty similar to earthbound, they still look pretty good and have their own unique charm - especially Lazlo, what a guy...

although, i notived one weird thing with the sprite for Chester - when going up he has a small artefact in his hair to the left - two or more black pixels just disappear into non-existance whenever he walks... his walk cycle to the right and to the left has the same problems, but now with the top of his head - between patches of blond hair there are black pixels, but when walking they sometimes disappear and reappear... it's a small visual error but getting rid of it would help a lot!)

all in all, i have my hopes for this project - the music already goes hard and the overall idea behind the game is pretty cool!) 0kXairen i wish you only best of luck, nerves of steel and lots of inspiration during the development process!) take care!

A story about a boy who is infected by an alien disease, which slowly begins corrupting the world around him. Inspired by RPG's such as the Mother series and Undertale, this game serves as okayxairen's first real game, and is currently in active development.

Comical Shenanigans

Currently, I'm renewing a lot of things in terms of engine and gameplay. Figuring out how to do engaging RPG battles, creating refreshed spritework for everything in the game, and while that's going to take time.. I do have something to show you.

However, with that said, I've found a bit of renewed energy for the project as of recent. (not to mention my obsession with the Mother series as of late has inevitably brought me back here) I'm making a bit of steady process on the project. (2/?)

Hi there! I know it's been,, quite a while since the last update and if I'm being honest, I haven't really worked on the game all that much since the last update. Life simply got in the way and things were really chaotic for a while (1/?)

So I may be attempting to assemble some sort of team in the future to assist with the game, specifically in the veins of art, advanced coding (RPG Maker wise), and in general game design. That's it for this dev update, cya next time :3

In general development news though, everything is going fairly well, and I've started to kind of realize my capabilities and also realize that I definitely cannot complete all aspects of the game development on my own (4/?)

Along with a new character and area, I've also been attempting to implement some general worldbuilding in terms of area art (However I am exceptionally awful at sprite art, so I may need to find someone to be the Temmie Chang to my Toby Fox :0) (3/?)

I still don't really have a solid idea for a better battle system/gimmick, so if anyone has any bright ideas I guess suggest them below (This is a very professional production)
In other news, I've continued creating the 0.04 demo (2/?)

Daily Mindbent Update #2 (Three days later)

After spending a long time trying to implement a new battle system as a way of switching up the basic RPG method, I couldn't think of anything and ended up wasting a whole day :(( (1/?)

I may however, continue to release demos of new mechanics and ideas, just to play around with. Thank you for reading!

I'm not sure when the game is going to be out of the "beta phase" but there may be a period in which I stop releasing demos of the game for a while, so that way the full experience is much more fresh.
