Monsters & Mortals: Golden Weapons Mod

Want to slice and dice with golden Murder Monkey knives? Whack opponents with Nikson's golden baseball bat? Or maybe you just want to complete your main's look by equipping them with something gold-plated- in any case, this mod has you covered!

Supplying characters with golden versions of their weapons (or let's be real, their hands in a number of cases), this mod is your golden opportunity to add more style to your kit. Everything in the download below is sorted based on whether you want to apply only select characters or just enable all playable classes. Bosses are also in on the fun!

Most skins and DLC characters are supported! Sadly, due to the limited nature of modding this game, please note the following:

Golden Weapons could not be done for...

- Bierce's Hands

- Detective Evans' Flashlight

- Doug Houser's Tablet

- Prisoner Borisov's Fire Extinguisher

Clown Gremlin's mallet affects other assets:

- Shared with Penny's Egg

- Also applied for Crazy Carnevil's traps

Robbie and two of Heather's skins (Default & Memory of Alessa) are shared

Infected Clarice's golden hands only properly show up in first-person

HOW TO DOWNLOAD

1. Download the package build on this game page.

2. Extract the zip folder when the download is complete.

3. Open your game's local files/install folder.

   1. Steam: Right-click on Dark Deception: Monsters & Mortals in your library, and go to Manage > Browse local files.

   2. Epic Games Store: Click on the three dots below Dark Deception: Monsters & Mortals in your library, go to Manage, and then select the folder button ("Open Install Location") in the Installation row.

4. When your file explorer is open, navigate to the DD_MnM folder.

5. Drag the folder labeled Content from the download into this folder. If your file explorer asks to replace any files, allow it.

6. Open up the game and have fun!

On the other hand, if you wish to uninstall the mod...

1. Repeat steps 1-4 of the install process above.

2. Navigate to the Content folder.

3. Go to Content > Paks.

4. Delete every folder and file EXCLUDING the one titled "DD_MnM-Windows.pak" (VERY IMPORTANT).

5. Open up the game to confirm the process worked.

IMPORTANT:

When updating this mod to a new version, it is highly recommended you uninstall the previous version before applying the new one.
