What do you think?

Funny story!! I included it in a compilation video series of the games from this jam, if you’d like to check it out :) https://youtu.be/k75pKDJVDg0

Well I finally got to play it :-). This game and how its played is solid. But it does not exceed that factor, you know. However I think that you stay VERY true to the boxart, which was the whole point of the contest. We have the X's and O's, but it's still chess. + The game stays true to the boxart's time-era, with primitive graphics and black background ;-). I do think however that the game was very quiet and there were no indicators of when to stop playing(When you won, and such).
Still, It's a solid game, thinking that it was made in 48 hours.
Thanks for the play!

The rules are a little bit complicated, but it looks like fun if you have somebody to play it with.

Cool concept, too bad i don't have anyone to play with

Made in 2 days for the #badboxart challenge based on the box art of a chess game pictured above.

Play chess as reconstructed by aliens in the future.

I didn't have time to add any ai, so bring a friend.

The rules can be found in a txt file in the downloaded folder. If you have any questions please let me know.

Thanks for playing,
Zach

Bug discovered

I’ve discovered a graphical bug that can cause pieces to turn invisible after a couple dozen moves. I have a fix ready, but I’ll wait until after the jam is over to upload it.
