Sooo.... is it improved Portal?
Tech demo to showcase the progress I have made with the mechanics from MyBadassBetaPuzzler.
I actually made more progress than this build showcases but my Unity3d Pro trial ran out and I didn´t remember to make builds regularly :( being blocked of from your own game sucks...
I would love to continue working on this game but it would cost me 1500$ and that is not going to happen with my student salary.
I thought about making a kickstarter campaign but I don´t really have the time and the game isn´t developed enough to even showcase a fraction of what it could become, so I figured it would be a waste of time.
New content:
Actual portals instead of warp pads.
Visual effects.
Added a grappling hook. (grab on to crates and pull to the Player or pull yourself towards a mounted crate)
Grappling hook through portals. (not really shown)
Momentum through portals. (not really shown either)
Projectiles through portals.
Gravity still changes don´t worry :)
Grappling, crates, going through portals work no matter if normal or reversed gravity.
Very beta state RPG please be overbearing :)
Controls:
Aim with the mouse
Portal 1 - left mouse button
Portal 2 - right mouse button
Movement - w, a, s, d
Shift weapons - mouse scroll
Activate switches - e
Bugs:
No restart, refresh page or close and re-open .exe for desktop.
Sometimes you start in the celing.
No fall damage.
Player rotation while going through portal can fuck up badly sometimes.
Door button doesn´t open door, so no winning the level.
I Fixed this later, but not in this build sadly.
