A retro dark fantasy tactical RPG about two petty theives forced to become involved in a plot to exterminate vampires.
Two amnesiac petty criminals escape from the clutches of an underground army of vampires, only to be forced by the local king to prove their loyalty by leading an expedition right back into the creatures' lair... but, as might be expected in something as cliche as an RPG Maker game, nothing is as it seems.
A relatively short game featuring only a couple hours of gameplay. Features include a tactical battle system, non-RTP graphics (something of an accomplishment for this engine), a moderately engaging storyline, and characters so unforgettable that you'll be able to remember their names hours, perhaps even days, later. (Which is more than can be said for some RPG Maker games, right?)
To the best of my knowledge, this is the first game made with Sim RPG Maker 95 with fully non-RTP graphics - and I can see why, considering getting the graphics and their palettes working in-game was absolute Hell.
As a result of the system's strange internal mechanics, screenshots are screwed up - prtscrn+paint doesn't capture the background, ScreenGet returns with a messed up palette, and animget crashes outright and doesn't get anything at all - but it plays fine. If you know a workaround that will allow proper screenshotting with SRPGM95, please PM me.
