STORY
Years have passed since the Wattersons family moved out of their old house due to some… issues.
Its latest owner, a salesman struggling to sell off the property due to the aura of darkness and negativity that still lingers inside, has made plans to simply have the whole place demolished to make way for some brand spanking new project from the ground up.
But before that can happen, someone is gonna have to watch over the now long neglected, but still possibly sellable, property during the dead of night.
…you have six fateful hours to go until the next sunrise.
WHAT IS ONE NIGHT AT GUMBALL'S?
One Night at Gumball's is a Five Nights at Freddy's fangame with some very similar story beats and gameplay aspects from the original games, but takes place within The Amazing World of Gumball, specifically after a long period of time has passed.
The player assumes the role of a unnamed main character who has to survive a single, grueling long night within the old and seemingly cursed Watterson's residence as they begin to realize that nothing’s quite like it used to...
CREDITS
Obviously, I do not own the rights to any of these characters. Gumball and his amazing world of friends, foes and those in between (see what I did there lol), were created and are still owned by Ben Bocquelet, his team of talented co-creators, and the British television channel Cartoon Network. Likewise, I have the man, myth and legend himself, Scott Cawthon, to thank for creating probably one of the most influential games series in my lifetime.
You may or may not have also noticed that I’ve admittedly taken some heavy inspiration from The Joy of Creation: Ignited Collection created by Nikson, and Oblitus Casa created by the Radiance Team, being the official sequel to their reimagining of Five Nights at Treasure Island which was originally created by AnArt1996. Those games have greatly influenced the way I have imagined both the story and gameplay, being at its strongest when it comes to horror rather than child friendly silliness, along with twisting these characters into demonic monsters we are forced to come face to face with.
This game has been made for nothing but non-profit fun, getting to learn how to make a fnaf fangame outside of the Clickteam Fusion formula, and paying deep respect to my childhood and those who have molded it.
