The project is now being restarted from the base Sonic MAX Engine, and will hopefully be more stable and of better quality than the previous versions.

The game is now being created with the HedgeFusion Engine for Clickteam Fusion 2.5+.

Hello!

The project is still alive, as I've kept saying before. But, I have some actual development news to share as well. Hopefully now, development can actually commence, though it may be a long and bumpy road for us.

Quick update: I've been on and off the project lately, as school and work have taken a lot of my time and certain aspects of the optimization efforts have grown difficult to work with. Nonetheless, I'm not giving up on Darkest Struggles. Stay tuned!

Quick update: I am still working on optimizing the engine before I move on to revamping Tails' level. I should elaborate that the goal with this is to ensure the game runs fast on lower-end systems by reducing the game's RAM and CPU usage. Stay tuned!

Quick update: I've been on and off of the project due to minor code burnout, but I am making progress! My current objective is overhauling certain engine features. After that, my sole focus is remaking Tails' levels (especially Hide and Seek). Stay tuned!
