Hey everyone, so I'm going to be unavailable for a week after Monday due to an upcoming test in College, so to provide consolation, I will release a mega patch on Monday that will hopefully encompass everything that I had planned to release that week. I'll also make more of the game load data from external files to make the game more customizable. (Don't worry, I'll include documentation)
Beta 02 Release Notes:
You will now be able to enlist in a levee. No further participation needed, your character is a smart enough lad to go to work by his or her self.
Added the ability to have multiple responses for generic events, just check the genericevents.txt to view the events if you wish to create your own.
You can now die in battle
Has a lot of potential. Also, the achievements really draw in a new audience. For now, the lack of events makes it pretty boring and repetitive, but I expect many more updates with a lot more events and features. Good work. I can't wait to see what you will produce in later updates. 4/5
Sorry for the wait everyone, I've got the latest build all ready to go. A few things to note currently.
You're character won't currently die, if you want to manually trigger a death to wipe your save, then press "Alt + C" and type "debugKill".
If you want trophies, you'll have to make sure to mark Game Jolt on the character creation screen. This will link your current save to your gamejolt username and token.
You can edit the genericEvents.txt file to add your own events, just make sure to add a new line, and type the event in this format: DESCRIPTION;RESPONSE
And that's all there is to it, I'll probably release another build in another couple of days that will include more events and features.
Something i have been looking for...a game that actually lets your live a life as someone else...
