I'm not going to rate this just yet, because I feel like it needs some polish. The first thing I'd offer is that I downloaded this blind... it would have been great to have a more useful plot summary for those of us who aren't familiar with the legend you're referencing, and to provide more interest about the characters and story. As for the story itself, it's interesting, though some sentences are clunky. "A package came and she told me to put it away and it contained documents about her mother, her grandmother, even her great-grandmother" feels a little unweildy, and something like, "She got a package, but before I put it away, I saw it had information about her mother, grandmother, even great-grandmother" flows better without sacrificing any important information. I also think you need to look at your choices... not only is the text during choices PAINFULLY tiny, the game doesn't seem to register what I have and haven't asked about. For instance, I chose not to ask Kiko about the plate after dinner, and so I never got any explanation for it, but the game acted as if I had, so I was missing important plot information.
The biggest issue, however, is that as a visual novel, this game desperately needs you to go over the text more carefully. Spelling errors and grammar issues pop up frequently and even randomly. One minute Kiko "stairs" at something, and then the next minute it's "stare". "Rather" is used in place of "whether". Punctuation is missing, words are missing... it's just something that really needs polishing. After all, in a game that's all ABOUT the story, we should be focusing on the plot and not errors in the text, right? :) It's clear you've put a lot of effort into this, and I think some extra elbow grease will make it shine.
What kind of "brief nudity" are we talking here? Like, "a guy is seen from behind" or "a girl is changing" type of thing? It may make or break whether or not I'm going to be allowed to play.
This game is great, it actually managed to make me scared in some of the points. Only issue i had with this game is that there are way to many gammar errors, also the choices in the game have absolutely no impact on how the story plays out. All in all this game is still very good, and i can't wait for the sequels.
