A #DELTARUNE fan game built in Kristal centering on a murder mystery, wherein a private eye has to travel into the dark in order to uncover the fate of the eponymous human girl, Rosy.

• Reactive Choice & Consequence, even taking into account your choices in DELTARUNE & UNDERTALE by analyzing your save files.

• New Lightner companions in every Dark World.

• Any Gameplay Features From Future DELTARUNE Chapters will be applicable to ALL content via Kristal. (Recruits, QOL, etc.)

Story

You play as Riley, a former cop from the town of Trove, only a 15 minute drive from Hometown. They left the force due to a murder case involving three children named Rosy, Kit, and Melody being left unsolved, some believing due to corruption in the city government.

Now, a private eye out of Ebott City, Riley has fallen on hard times. They never let the "ROSY TROVE" case go, even when in debt, and facing eviction from their office. As a last ditch effort to save their business, and get closure, they travel to Trove to attempt to solve what they believe is their biggest failure.

Trove is, by all accounts, a place filled to the brim with problems. The city government is transparently in the pocket of two wealthy... "lobbyists". On top of that, ARC Incorporated, a large private energy corporation that provides energy to Hometown, Trove, and Ebott City, routinely pollutes the local environment, and some say they see strange lights and hear strange sounds coming from their facilities at night. Many are either destitute, homeless, depressed, or all three. Regardless of where it comes from, most are miserable, and desire change. The local National Guard have set up an outpost on the outskirts of Trove, believing that depending on the outcome of the upcoming election, there may be violence.

Each of the 7 Dark Worlds you will visit are places Rosy, Kit, and Melody were on the day they went missing, being one by one turned into Dark Worlds by a mysterious third party seemingly in an attempt to prevent Riley from uncovering the truth.

ROSY-TROVE starts one day before DELTARUNE, with time passing due to the actions you take.

On the 7th day, the Trove Mayoral Election is due to be held, and Riley's foreclosure proceedings are set to go through.

Disclaimers

• It is advised you play UNDERTALE and DELTARUNE Chapters 1-4 before playing ROSY-TROVE.

• While DELTARUNE is not complete yet, it is assumed that ROSY-TROVE will tell a darker story than DELTARUNE. There's no hard and fast recommended age for players, but the ROSY-TROVE Discord will be age-gated for people who are at least 15 years old. Our chosen rating on GameJolt will tell you more.

• ROSY-TROVE is inspired partially off of a few true crime cases, some of which having taken place in the last 10 years, and having victims still alive. This is a difficult tightrope to walk, but the events of the game not being 1-1 with any IRL crime, and all heavy topics are going to be attempted to be tackled with the respect they deserve. It's up to you to determine whether what eventually comes out is respectful, however.

Q: wEN RoBSbY-TROBe????

A: Version 1.0 will be a "demo" of sorts that will have the first Dark World, and a good amount of Light World content. Every version after that will be like Minecraft and have major versions with huge things like a new Dark World, with minor versions for bug fixes, and minor feature upgrades.

A release date estimate at this time is impossible, as even the demo is nowhere near close to being done. If you want to try and get ROSY-TROVE out before I'm an old man, and have some talent, then apply there!

As we get further into development, release date estimates will get more accurate, and I'll feel more comfortable giving them.
