just played through the beta release of the game and i have to say that it's awesome! a pretty cool RPG set in a classic fantasy setting with great characters, awesome enviroments to explore, fun NPC's to interact with and fearsome foes to fight!) the plot is pretty engaging, too, albeit pretty basic, but still very good! the locations you get to explore around are also pretty well-done, with various npc's here and there that make the world feel more alive (like that one pickpocket girl in the desert area - that nasty little thief got me twice!). the battles are awesome - the transitions between them and exploring and the moving background while battling make them all the more dynamic and cool, and the fact that you only control miles while fighting is a pretty unique change of pace from the other RPG's, where you control the entire party!)
but, with all that said, there are a few problems with the game that i've faced while playing: firstly, there's a bug with the sign before the abandoned mine, as you can't interact with it unless you re-enter the overworld area by going into the resting house or other location, but it's not fatal by any means, luckily!) next, the succubus boss that you fight during the second transition to the lava arena is impossible to beat - her life drain nullifies any progress you made while beating her!( i suggest you give Miles some special abilities that deal more damage in exchange for mana or TP so that it would be possible to even beat her - but, fortunately, you can just skip the battle with her and go on your way to the ice castle. and, lastly, if you skip the battle with the succubus your companions, jessabelle and genturo, come back at the first level, nullifying any progress you made while leveling them up and/or grinding!(
overall, the game is very solid and fun to play - it offers a pretty engaging plot and delivers with some cool locations, awesome battles and great music to back it up!) lameemo, you did a great job with Rotten - although there is still some room for improvement, the game already offers a great experience even as it is!) i wish you best of luck, nerves of steel and lots of inspiration in your future endeavors!) take care!
hi there, lammeemo! i have a problem with booting up the game - after downloading it and proceeding with the installation i can't seem to run it - when i open up the game it says "Cannot find RGSS202E.dll", after which it just crashes, unfortunately( also, the game's folder doesn't have any files except the "Game.exe", a configuration file named "Game", an rgss2a file that is also called "Game", and, finally, the gamejolt's exe file called "rotten" - the problem with the game booting up may have something to do with the missing files(
this is the beta release of the full game, small changes will be made as and when required

this is embaressing but i made another mistake which prevented the game from running, the folder in the exe was missing the game files
this has been rectified now so you can enjoy the beta
