"Super Mario Bros. Deluxe Advance" is a fan game with no plans for a sequel. It was made with my "Super Mario Advance 5" with the intention of being an animation that would show how "Super Mario Bros. Deluxe" would happen for the GBA instead of Super Mario Advance.
For those who don't know, the Super Mario Advance series is the successor to Deluxe, and was made by the same development group at Nintendo (R&D2).
Since I have no plans to continue, I left a source version along with the executable version. It opens with Game Maker 8.1. You can use it to do whatever you want or, if you prefer, continue developing the fan game instead of me.
But please keep the main credits! The first person who made the source engine was Hello (Hello Engine 4) and the concept of SMA5 and SMBDXA, new sprites was made by me. The other credits are in the fan game information (F1).
I'm posting this here as a way to celebrate the 39th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. 1 on September 13, 2024. But October 18 was the day of the American release of the same game. Next year I'll have a lot of projects inspired by SMB1. Stay tuned!
The source of this project will soon be transformed into the "Super Mario Bros. Advance Championships" which will be a way of paying homage to SMB1 but in a competitive way.
All rights reserved by Nintendo. Characters, SMB1, assets, music are (c) from Nintendo. This is just a non-profit project and it is not complete and I do not intend to make it complete. There are also differences in the levels.
