Good start, here is some advice.
Instead of having it so that the enemies fire when they are at a certain distance to the player, make it so they have a fire timer which allow them to shoot. Also, the timeline which you have in place to bring the unit onto the screen after death, provide a moment of invinicibility or else you will just die immediately when the screen is full of enemies. Lastly, slow down the movement of the enemies as it makes it nearly impossible to track.
With the online version I am aware that the scoreboard has glitches and is working on that flickering effect with the next update

This Space Fighter a sidescroller shoot em up
influenced by games such as gradius, R-type, and Raiden project
This game is still a work in progress and is my first game produced
But it is playable
any glitches or errors you find please let me know
basically controls are simple
use arrow keys to move left, right, up, and down
and press spacebar the fire projectiles
game has a power up scatter shot into it
Grab the power to increase its level
Game also has controller support
use directional-pad to move left, right, up, and down
for xbox controllers X button to fire projectile
playstation controllers square button to fire projectile
Do best to shoot down as many enemies as you can before the 49 second timespan elaspes
