Finally finished it. Maybe add some music to the exposition cutscenes. If there's one thing NES played a lot 99% of the time is music of some kind.

One of the most accurately designed classic style games I've played in awhile, Space Outlaw Alice has all the best qualities of an old NES era platformer. There's plenty of action to keep the player busy shooting and dodging, plus the space robot segments are pretty great as well, providing more than just run'n'gun gameplay. The art and music styles also work very well to scratch that nostalgia itch you may have, and the challenging bosses will keep you coming back. Usually for revenge after they kill you. Great job on this, devs, and keep up the good work.

Space Outlaw Alice is a retro game that brings together two different genres. The game follows the main character, the outlaw Alice, as she gets targeted by the corrupt government of the Earth Union and needs to deal with mysterious extra-dimensional monsters that appeared out of nowhere. As she runs through the stages, the player will experience a classic platform action with a lot of jumping and shooting. However, when the time comes to pilot Seraph, her giant robot, the game will shift to a horizontal shoot'em up with even more shooting. Space Outlaw Alice is highly inspired by the classic games of the Famicom video game console and the mecha anime genre. Its plot and characters are carefully presented through 8-bit cutscenes between the stages.

History
The year is 2378 A.D. Humanity is already expanding into space, but its progress is being held back by the corrupt regulation of Earth Union. In addition to the inability to rely on its own government, both Earth and space are plagued by criminal activities and terrorist attacks. Alice, fearless outlaw and captain of the spaceship Valiant Gear, accepts a job to raid a military facility and gets caught up in a situation that will determine the fate of the world. Targeted by the Earth Union army and facing the coming of extra-dimensional creatures that threatens to exterminate all forms of life, she and her crew will need to make a decision. Run and mind their own business or join the battle and help everyone?

The ghoul with metal claws is one of my favorites, but it was giving everyone the impression of being unforgiving and almost impossible to dodge. I made it telegraph its attacks more and jump higher.

The first boss fight was rebalanced. The pattern is a little easier and she telegraphs her attacks more.

Today I wrapped up the cutscenes for the new demo. Now I will focus on the last adjustments to the levels!

The stage 1 enemies were rebalanced. The most drastic change was with the Beholder. Now it flies around chasing the player in order to use its eye blast.

I'm wrapping things up for the launch of a new playable demo and a crowdfunding campaign will come together with it.
