Pretty cool idea, it isn't one that I've seen before. The music is great! On my second play the boss was frozen in place though, and sometimes enemies seem to freeze in place instead of going away when killed.
Also, right now it is a bit too easy to simply shoot everything and lower down all of the stats. Perhaps if the game is in levels, the player must be forced to be more and more selective as to what kind of boss will spawn.
I'm very interested to see where this will go, good luck and keep at it!

Controls
Movement = Left Thumbstick / WASD (Up, Left, Down, Right)
Shoot = Right Trigger / Left Mouse Button
After the team deliberated over nearly 30 ideas and many scribbles, we landed on the core concept for STAT: the player's action design the boss fight as they fight swarms of enemies.
The colour of the baddies you destroy determines the statistics of the boss once it is released from the central cage.
Yellow - Reduce Bosses Rate of Fire
Purple - Reduce Bosses Sheild
Green - Reduce Bosses Speed
You have 2 minutes until the boss is released, however if you're feeling brave, shoot the timer below it's cage to bring the fight closer!
