Main Title

After a bit of thought, I've decided to leave this project where it is. Not only was the source code lost in a hard drive move (pro tip, github is a thing, use it), but as this was my first every unity project that even got off the ground, its so rough around the edges, that just looking at it makes me cringe a bit. I am working on another title at the moment (more of a practice game than anything else), which you can find over here: https://github.com/Sanity404Studios/UnityTestBed

I quite enjoyed working on this game, and while its no technical masterpiece I kind of like it for what it is.

Below you will find the original text for the description.

Take Aim is what I like to call a "tactical target shooting game". What exactly does that mean you ask? I have no idea! I just wanted to come up with a fancy subtitle.

In essence, Take Aim is about managing downtime as you move between the areas of the level, shooting targets as you go. The game is being developed solely by me, so I attempting to make the fun and engagement of the game come from the mechanics, rather than asset fidelity. I current goal is a five week development cycle, with most of the required mechanics being done in the first three weeks. The deadline I am giving myself for a stable release is for 8/17/2015. You can however expect a new release every friday, though it may not always be working properly.

For a complete roadmap of development, check out my website, sanity404studios.wordpress.com

Mechanics Breakdown:

The main mechanic of Take Aim in its current state, is to be able to shoot targets quickly and accurately by adjusting how far off of your crosshair you are depending on your range from what your trying to hit. It's a little confusing at first, but try it out in game and it starts to make some sense.

Control list:

WASD Movement
Shift to sprint
Mouse wheel to adjust aim point in relation to crosshair
Spacebar to jump

Known Bugs:

The player can jump out of the level if they manuver just right near the chairs in the room to the left of the spawn.
ammo system is completly borked.
