Heh, pretty informative. Good work! 3/5
In short: this game teaches you software design. To put it a bit more extensive: The Art of Software Design is an educational game made at the university of Leiden in an attempt to teach basic software design principles and good software practice to people who are learning or interested in computer science.
This game was created as part of a research and a Master's Thesis. One of the papers won the Best Paper award at MODELS2012 in the category of gamification.
The game is fully moddable and can be changed in every way. We highly encourage you to mod and hack to your hearts content, BUT do not blindly take on someone else's mods. The reason for this is that the level creation heavily leans on a Gamemaker command that was deemed unsafe and has been removed after Game Maker 8. If you want to play someone else's mods, check its scripts (all human readable) for commands that are not in the software documentation.
Included in the download are: the game, the source code, the scientific papers and documentation on creating your own levels.
