This game is really nice. It's always great to see a good 3D game made with Game maker!
Pros:
Great game engine
Cool effects (foggy floor, falling effect)
Nice ambience
Scary monsters for what they look like
Cons:
There can be some annoyances with the game, like the jumping, which is very fast paced. It's really easy to fall into the gaps in the floor. I would suggest making the jumping easier to control, but make the gaps wider.
The spider monsters would be scarier if you included tense music while they are chasing you (similar to movies)
The ramps are buggy when moving down them
The level design doesn't have enough variation. It would be nice to atleast see different styles of textures as the levels progress.
In conclusion I had fun playing your game, and it is a nice concept, but in some parts, it felt more like an RPG, particularly during the spider part. I got stuck at the jumping puzzle which came after the first encounter with the crypt monster, and gave in. That's where I thought that the jumping was a little too unpredictable. I'll give it another shot later, maybe I'm just crap at making jumps. Anyway, I love seeing home-made engines like these. Keep it up!
